A Fond Farewell to Mx Stopford: Lessons That Last a Lifetime
Published on: 6 May 2025
After 2 years, 1 month, and 25 days of dedication, passion, and unwavering support, one of our most cherished teachers bids us farewell. While her heart is heavy with sadness as she prepares to part ways with her learners, her soul is filled with gratitude for the lessons she’s learned, the bonds she’s formed, and the invaluable experience she carries forward.
In her time with us, she was more than just an educator, she was a mentor, a leader, and a source of light for many. Through classroom discussions, school events, and leadership programs, she helped shape not only our understanding of literature and language but also our perspectives as young people finding our place in the world.
She leaves behind heartfelt hopes for the future of the school: that Interact grows stronger, that our leadership committees find unity and resilience, and that the spirit of collaboration and joy continues through the many morale-building events that have marked her time here. Her message is clear, community and connection are what transform a school into a family.
When asked about her personal growth, she shares that her journey has been deeply transformative. “I’ve learned a lot and grown a lot, both as an educator and as an individual,” she reflects. It’s a reminder that teaching is never a one-way exchange, teachers learn just as much from their students as students do from them. And perhaps most importantly, she leaves us with a message of empowerment: “Remember that you know more than you think, and you’re smarter than you believe. Ask for help when you need it. And practice, practice, practice.”
Her words will echo in our classrooms and hearts long after her departure. We are grateful for her time, her energy, and her belief in us, even when we didn’t believe in ourselves. Farewell to an unforgettable teacher, and thank you, for everything.
